Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive from guests regarding our luxury hot tub cottage in south west Cornwall. If there is anything we’ve not answered here please email us at info@harbourreachporthleven.co.uk
Do you take dogs?
Yes we welcome dogs with open arms – they are part of the family after all! Three dogs are included in the rental price, more may be accommodated by prior agreement. We do ask that they are not left unattended in the property at any time and remain off the furniture and beds. Please bring all bedding and towels required for your four-legged friend.
What is the booking deposit?
We take 25% of the holiday cost as a deposit on booking which secures your dates. The balance will be payable in full 8 weeks prior to your holiday. We can accept payment in installments via standing order. Please email us at info@harbourreachporthleven.co.uk to discuss this.
What is the damage deposit?
We take a £300 refundable damage deposit to cover the cost of any damages to the fixtures and fittings of the property. This will be refunded in full as soon as the housekeepers have completed their inspection and clean on your day of departure as long as they don’t find any damage. Small items such as cups and glasses are not included in this. We just ask that if you do break anything then you leave a note for the housekeepers or email us at info@harbourreachporthleven.co.uk so that we can arrange to replace things for the next guests.
What happens if I need to cancel my holiday?
We strongly advise that you have appropriate holiday cancellation cover in place at the time of booking and we know that circumstances can change. Cancellations must be made in writing to us by emailing info@harbourreachporthleven.co.uk. If you cancel a booking more than 8 weeks before arrival the deposit paid at the time of placing the booking will not be refunded to you but can be transferred to another available date. If you cancel a booking less than 8 weeks prior to the start date of the holiday and have paid your balance in full, you will not be entitled to a refund but we will endeavour to move your booking to an alternative date.
What is the bed configuration?
The bedrooms are four king sized beds and one double bed. There is also a single sofa bed in the loft lounge. The three bedrooms on the ground floor have en-suite bathrooms. The two loft bedrooms have a shared bathroom.
Do you do short breaks?
Yes we offer short breaks which are either Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday between 1st November and 31st March. From 1st April to 31st October we can only accommodate weekly or fortnightly stays from Saturday to Saturday.
Is there parking?
Yes we have ample parking for 5-6 cars on the front drive which is rare in Pothleven! We also have an electric vehicle charging point.
Do you have an enclosed garden?
Yes we have a large, secure, private garden to the rear of the property.
How far are you from the harbour and beach?
We are just a five-minute walk from Porthleven Harbour and the great range of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. The beach is a 10-minute walk around the harbour and so everything you need is on the doorstep.
Where are the best places to eat?
Porthleven has a great range of eateries to suit all tastes and budgets from Michelin starred to good old-fashioned pub grub! Check the listings on our pubs and restaurants page for some inspiration.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes we have superfast Wi-Fi and smart TVs in all rooms.
Do you have a washing machine?
Yes we have a fully equipped utility with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board should you need it.
How do I get the keys for the property?
The keys are located in a key safe at the front of the property. The code will be sent to you a few days before your holiday.
Can I smoke in the property?
Smoking is prohibited in Harbour Reach. You may smoke in the back garden but please refrain from smoking on the terrace or the balcony.
What time is check in and check out?
You can check in from 4pm onwards on the day of your arrival and check out will be 10am on your day of departure.
Do you have a highchair or travel cot?
Yes these items are both provided for your convenience. Babies in cots are not counted towards the 10-person maximum occupancy.
What is the maximum occupancy of the property?
The maximum number of people permitted to stay at the property is 10 people (excluding babies).
Are bed linen and towels provided?
Bed linen and towels are provided and all beds will be made for your arrival. You will need to bring your own towels for the hot tub and the beach.
How can I pay?
We can accept payment by credit/debit card, bank transfer or PayPal.
